Tim is a solicitor who specialises in all aspects of corporate finance and company law work.

He led the then top rated Bond Pearce South West corporate finance team until 2007 when he joined media client Twofour Group as its first Director of Legal and Business Affairs.

He has in depth knowledge of the world of television and brand communications and joined Nash to work with a wider range of businesses to replicate what he did with Bond Pearce. During his time with Bond Pearce Tim advised ambitious management teams from start ups through to PLCs on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investment, management buyouts, restructurings, exit plans and a raft of commercial arrangements. He also advised local charities and incorporated the Plymouth City Centre Company working with Plymouth City Council and business leaders to establish one of the first Business Improvement Districts in the country in 2004. He is excited to join Nash with its ambitious growth plans, as this will enable him to work on local and regional projects of all sizes with local professional advisers and the business community again, within an environment which is a pleasure to work in.

During his time at Twofour Tim was involved in all legal aspects of its growth to become a leading TV production company and content and communications agency working with brands. He worked with broadcasters, talent and brands on a daily basis and dealt with the group’s expansion overseas in the US and UAE. He was part of the management team which merged the business with Lloyds Development Capital’s existing investment Boom Pictures, before the sale of the enlarged Twofour Group to ITV in 2015.

Tim graduated from Birmingham University with a law degree, and as well as being a qualified solicitor, he holds a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the ACCA and a Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College London.

In the 2007 edition of the Legal 500, Tim was described as: ‘extremely impressive’ and ‘one of the few lawyers that actually creates deals’.

Similarly, Chambers UK 2008 notes that: Very much leading from the front [of the Bond Pearce Corporate Finance team] Tim Jackman was hailed in some quarters as ‘by far the best corporate lawyer locally’ and was unanimously held up as ‘a key figure in the region’

Chambers also asserts that an ability to marry ‘technical expertise and a calming presence on a deal’ ensure his standing in the region
