Ellen is Head of the Disputes Resolution team at Nash & Co and specialises in high-value commercial litigation and debt recovery, in both the High Court and County Court.
Ellen has advised public sector clients and has international clients including banks as well as acting for the European Commission. She is a specialist in dealing with claims which include aspects of regulatory and public law.
She deals with all types and values of litigation, including enforcement, in all courts, from the Court of Appeal to the County Court, as well in First Tier Tribunal cases.
Ellen has been frequently involved in debt recovery for schools, colleges, banks, construction companies as well as asset finance houses. She takes a client-centered approach to the cases she handles for clients.
She has acted for the Lord Chancellor in a complex case involving Human Rights issues (Access to Justice) and whether a beneficiary’s interest in a purported trust, of which the Claimant had no knowledge, could supersede an order for sale against the purported Trust property. The case has been widely reported. Lord Chancellor v. M Saleem & Another  EWCA Civ 671.
She has experience in dealing with obtaining asset freezing injunctions for claims ranging in value from many millions, involving aspects of fraud down to the tens of thousands.
