Armed Forces Injuries
Our Armed Forces are a national and widely loved institution, but we cannot forget the unfortunate truth that even military personnel are injured at work.
“We understand that Service Personnel may feel uncomfortable about bringing a claim against the MOD for many reasons; there can be a perception that they are a ‘non-standard’ employer or that they’re too large and some may also feel a sense of betrayal towards current or former colleagues.”

What areas do you cover?
Nash & Co have a team of solicitors who are experts in resolving Personal Injury compensation claims, in particular for those who have served bravely as part of our Armed Forces. Typical military compensation cases include injuries resulting from lifting, manual handling and sporting activities along with inaccurate medical treatment. We also advise on cases resulting from equipment defects or non-supply of equipment and the effects of vibration and noise.
How can you help me?
The military are no different to any other traditional employers and have the same duty of care to employers in the work environment. The general rule of thumb on any claim is that the accident itself was reasonably preventable in the first place, that it happened within the last 3 years and that the fault lies with someone else, including fellow servicemen.
What should I do next?
The MOD is renowned for looking after its personnel and where liability has been admitted compensation is usually settled as quickly as possible.
Give our team a call; we have considerable experience in this area and we can help you to decide how you would like to proceed. You can speak to Mike Shiers or one of his team on 01752 827025 or by emailing [email protected]
