When someone passes away, we have many clients that come across something while administering the estate that they are worried about or don’t understand. These questions are often resolved by a simple email or call to us; we can help you and put your mind at ease. In addition, if someone has died without a will, we can explain who is entitled to the estate.
“Losing a friend or loved one is a difficult time and it’s unfortunate that during this challenging period you are often confronted with a mass of documentation to deal with that relates to their estate. We use our experience and specialist knowledge to help you with both the technical and practical aspects of estate administration.”
Alice Carter-Tyler, Solicitor
How can Nash & Co help you?
The team at Nash & Co will tailor the service to your particular needs. We can highlight and explain the possible ways to mitigate tax and we can negotiate on your behalf with HM Revenue & Customs on questions about inheritance tax. We also provide practical advice on more complicated situations such as dealing with cross-border estates and we will always seek to avoid costly litigation.
One question we are often asked is “What is probate?” So we’ve put together some information that explains Probate and helps to answer some of the more common questions. You can find these by following this link – What is Probate?
And what about those costs?
We offer a free service where we will explain to the family the contents of a will, whether it is prepared by us or someone else, to explain what it says and establish if there is a need to apply for Probate. On more straightforward estates, we offer a simple fixed fee service and for more complicated estates we will agree a budget up front and then stick to that.
What should I do next?
